At Local History Hub, we believe that history is more than just dates and facts—it’s about stories, connections, and community. Our mission is to bring history to life by strengthening partnerships between schools, historical sites, local authorities, and community members.
What We Do…
We provide a national network of Local History Hubs that empower educators, students, and history enthusiasts to engage with their local heritage in meaningful ways. Through our network, we:
Support Schools & Educators – Helping teachers integrate local history into the curriculum with expert resources and training.
Connect Historical Sites & Communities – Strengthening partnerships between local history custodians and the public.
Host Inspiring Events – Organising Local History Day, workshops, and collaborative projects to make history interactive.
Promote Resource Sharing – Providing access to best practices, lesson plans, and learning materials for schools and community leads.
