PARTNERSHIPS
Local History Hub is a growing, teacher-led initiative building a national network to make local history a vibrant part of school and community life.
As a start-up in its pilot phase, we’re already working with a number of national organisations and are actively expanding our network of partners across the heritage, education, and community sectors.
We’re committed to working collaboratively—with national, regional, and local organisations—to support our shared goals of accessibility, engagement, and place-based learning.
Why Partner With Local History Hub?
We don’t replace the great work already happening—we help amplify it. Through our network of teacher-led Hubs and growing outreach capacity, we offer practical ways to connect your organisation with schools, communities, and heritage champions across the UK.
By partnering with Local History Hub, your organisation can:
Connect with educators and schools actively looking to embed local history in their teaching
Expand the reach of your events, exhibitions, and programmes through collaboration with our Hubs
Contribute expertise, resources, or insight to co-develop meaningful, school-ready content
Build visibility through joint outreach, network engagement, and Local History Day involvement
We aim to be a flexible, values-driven partner—open to collaboration in a way that supports your mission as well as ours.
Our Partnerships
Collaborating for greater impact
As Local History Hub enters its pilot phase and begins to grow, we’re focused on establishing strong, purposeful partnerships that support our mission. By working with organisations who share our values around place, heritage, and education, we’re laying the foundations for something lasting.
These early partnerships are helping us explore new ways to connect schools and communities—and will play a vital role as we expand our work across the UK.
Local History Hub & The AJR: A Growing Partnership
At Local History Hub we’re proud to support the UK Holocaust Memorial Map and the work of the Association of Jewish Refugees, building a partnership that places remembrance and observance at the heart of what our hubs do.
New Partnership in Development: Irish Histories Diaspora Network
At Local History Hub, we’re excited to be developing a new partnership with the Irish Histories Diaspora Network. Together with Dr Sophie Cooper, we’re planning a workshop for the 2026–27 academic year that will support teachers to explore Irish migration at primary level. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to helping schools approach complex histories with confidence and care.
Local History Hub & Civic Voice: A Growing Partnership
Local History Hub is pleased to be discussing a partnership with Civic Voice, the national charity for the civic movement in England.
Local History Hub & the Migration Museum
At Local History Hub, we’re proud to partner with the Migration Museum, whose work highlights the vital role of migration in shaping who we are – past, present and future. Through this partnership, we’re supporting schools and local communities to explore stories of movement, identity and belonging, ensuring that these narratives are represented and celebrated across our national network of history hubs.
