Your role…
As Schools Lead, you will play a pivotal role in engaging schools and local history sites across your area, driving membership and fostering a collaborative network. You will organize and lead regular (termly) meetings to encourage the exchange of ideas and resources, while also spearheading the planning and coordination of Local History Day 2026—an exciting opportunity for your community to come together and celebrate its rich local heritage. Local History Hub is committed to supporting school leads by providing a comprehensive range of online resources, including progression ladders, and facilitating the sharing of materials within your educational community. Our team will work closely with you to enhance the growth of the Hub in your local area, offering guidance and advice on establishing and running the hub effectively. Additionally, we will assist in boosting membership within your community, ensuring that educators and history enthusiasts alike can benefit from this collaborative network. Our dedicated team is always on hand to offer ongoing online support, fostering a robust and sustainable partnership that strengthens local history education for all involved.
